Clients are construction project managers Amy Lin and Sarah Lunny
A new proposed design towards the Torrens University in Brisbane
Keep the building's old heritage bones ,e.g the existing glass arch windows
Incorporating indigenous considerations
Client wants an environment that is open and passive, the use of collaborative spaces.

Concept and features:

Torrens University the new Brisbane campus invites their intended audience to a newly developed design concept. Whilst creating an inspiring story that initiates an unique experience for all.

The library and cafe spaces have been designed with a fresh approach to enhance learning and provide a reviving atmosphere. Sustainable applications have been applied throughout each space to benefit the future with the use of materials and furniture applications. Cork, brick and reclaimed timber has been applied on the interior walls, floors and can be seen in furniture used.

These spaces also incorporate nearness to nature which allows for exposure towards increased productivity through the use of greenery elements. Connection towards indigenous culture bringing recognition of country supported by architectural forms, materials and artwork. The book shelves in the library have been formed to create the shape of a boomerang presenting this concept. Beautiful forms are also signified within the cafe providing a parametric design in the seating area allowing for comfort and visual appeal.

These two spaces strive to be unique, innovative, transforming and comfortable.
